Viva Chord is a velocity-sensitive arranger keyboard with 61 full-size keys, a stereo speaker system, USB/MIDI connection for computer/tablet, a teaching system and a wide selection of sounds and rhythms with accompaniment. In addition to being powered by the included power supply, Viva Chord can also run on batteries (not included).
The sound section contains 300 sounds, including 6 piano sounds as well as a wide range of organ, string, synthesiser and guitar/bass sounds. The rhythm section offers a broad selection of rhythms with accompanying accompaniment in styles including pop, rock, jazz, Latin, country, gospel, dance and funk. Viva Chord’s extensive selection of sounds and accompaniments lets you play all your favourite songs with a full orchestra and a wide range of different sounds.
To complement the many sounds and accompaniments, Viva Chord is also equipped with a percussion panel, allowing you to trigger different percussion sounds or even play entire drum rhythms yourself.
Viva Chord’s built-in teaching system is based on 40 built-in songs that can be used to learn keyboard playing. Select a song from the library and start it, and Viva Chord’s large LCD display shows which key/note to play in the melody. The keyboard then creates an accompaniment that waits while you find the next note.
The option to connect Viva Chord to a computer/tablet via the USB-TO-HOST output gives you access to a wide range of learning resources for developing your keyboard skills. The USB output also makes it possible to use Viva Chord as a MIDI keyboard with a computer.
Viva Chord features a built-in backlit LCD display and includes both transpose and tuning functions. It is also equipped with a built-in metronome and a split function, which divides the keyboard into two identical sections—useful when two people want to play the keyboard at the same time. The dual function allows you to play 2 different sounds on the keyboard simultaneously—for example, an electric bass sound in the lower range and a vibraphone sound across the rest of the keyboard.
If you want to sing, the microphone input on the back of the keyboard allows you to connect a microphone to Viva Chord and use the keyboard’s built-in speakers to amplify it. The input can also be used to connect a smartphone to Viva Chord, allowing you to play music through the keyboard’s speakers. If you want to practise or play without disturbing others, you can connect headphones so that only you hear the sound from the keyboard. The built-in battery operation also allows you to take the keyboard with you and play even where mains power is not available.
